Social responsibility

Undertake for the future: We are fully aware of our social responsibility. We take it on and carry it, find it at the centre of our work and give it space.

Dietenheim attracts

Scientists from the University of Ulm and the University of Reutlingen researched and worked from 2015 to 2018 in the context of the project - "Dietenheim attracts" for a turnaround in the textile industry. Through different approaches the project aimed at the sustainability-oriented revitalisation of the textile town Dietenheim. Furthermore, the project focused on a local, sustainable transformation of the textile value chain. In cooperation with companies and actors of the local textile industry, the entire textile value chain was made regionally and transparently tangible for the customer. The project was initiated and significantly driven forward by our Managing Director Andreas Merkel.

The sum of small gestures

The company buildings are an integral part of the Dietenheim and Balzheim townscape. The people here work for Gebr. Otto - sometimes already in the second or third generation. In short: We are part of our homeland, our homeland is part of us.
In line with this conviction, we get involved locally: As a sponsor of local clubs, be it in the promotion of youth sports, in perimeter advertising on local football fields or in equipping sports teams.
In addition, we support with small gestures: be it with cotton ribbons for handicraft activities for children with disabilities or with Christmas cards that we obtain from Unicef.
