Licensed products

otto-garne-biore.jpg

bioRe® / Naturaline (Organic)

Fairly traded cotton marked by the bioRe® Sustainable Cotton quality label originates from controlled organic farming by smallholders in India and Tanzania. Non-GMO seeds are used for organic cotton farming. As it is almost impossible for farmers in India to buy non-GMO seeds, bioRe® India Ltd. has started to breed organic cotton seeds of their own. The bioRe® Foundation supports and promotes this seeds-research project.

bioRe® farmers participate in decision-making and receive from Remei a purchase guarantee for their organic-cotton harvest. A premium of 15% on the regional market price is paid to the farmers.

The bioRe® brand and the quality labels are owned by the bioRe® Foundation. Remei AG is the exclusive licensee.
